FAQ

1. Which profile is right for me?
   Be sure to review the bullet-point issues after the description of each of our profiles. This should help you determine the appropriate test for you. Our organic acids test is a standard test that all of our VIP clients complete; we strongly encourage you to start here as we rarely see anyone over the age of 35 without some nutrient insufficiency.
2. I live outside of California; can I do these tests?
   Absolutely! Our wellness practice is almost entirely virtual; we ship these test kits all over the world, and can likely ship to you to, as long as you have a physical address (vs. a P.O. Box).
3. How long will it take to get my results?
   Results typically arrive within 10 business days upon receipt of your kit at the lab. Once the results are verified, the lab will notify us via email, and then we’ll contact you to set up your strategy session to review them.
4. Will my insurance pay for the testing?
   As nutritionists, we are unable, by law, to provide coding or submit insurance claims on your behalf (which is why we can keep the costs of our testing so LOW!); so we do require full payment up front. There may be options for you through your individual insurance provider (check directly with them for more info) or to deduct the costs of your tests via a Health Savings Account (HSA) through the US government. 5. Can my doctor do these tests?
   Each doctor’s practice provides different levels of testing; typically, most do not get involved in nutritional testing.
6. Why should I do these tests?
   I already visit my doctor once a year to get bloodwork done. These tests are an adjunct to the blood work that your doctor performs. Standard blood work does not look at nutrient deficiencies, stress hormone levels, organic acids, or food sensitivities. By combining our profiles with your blood labs, you can get a complete picture of what’s ticking with your biochemistry, and what things you need to do to live well for life.
7. Once I get my results, what will I be able to do about the information?
   Your assigned Wellness Coach will review the results of your test with you, what each marker indicates, and recommendations for repairing any issues that pop up. Whether it’s dietary modification, supplementation for inadequate nutrients, or other lifestyle shifts, you will leave your coaching session with a solution in hand.
8. What are the qualifications of your Wellness Coaches?
   All of our Wellness Coaches are trained to interpret test results, provide lifestyle recommendations and coach you toward success. They are degreed nutritionists, certified in my Overcoming Weight Loss Resistance programs, and members of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. In addition to their nutrition education, each Wellness Coach receives ongoing training at nutrition-oriented workshops and seminars on a consistent basis.
9. When will I receive my test kit?
   Once you place your order, your test kit will be drop-shipped to your shipping address right away. They typically show up in 5-7 days, if not sooner.
10. How do I fill out the test kit requisition?
    All of the instructions on filling out forms will be provided to you upon placing your order. We’ll even throw in a sample requisition form for you to follow, just to be sure.
11. Do I pay for any shipping?
    Nope. Shipping’s on us.
12. How will I know when my results are in?
    Once your lab results are verified, the lab will contact us… then we will contact you right away to set up your coaching session.
13. Which testing company do you use?
    We use Metametrix labs, www.metametrix.com. This is the lab that we’ve been using with our celebrity and VIP clients for many years; we love their work and feel confident in their results.
