Recipe: Nutty Orange-Cranberry Sauce

by JJ Virgin on November 5, 2016

The natural sweet-tart flavors in cranberry sauce make it the perfect accompaniment to savory turkey and veggies sides. But the crazy-high sugar content means you're guaranteed to go belly-up in the recliner after dinner, as your blood glucose crashes hard!

This recipe is a healthy version that give you the classic flavor without the high sugar impact. Orange and cranberry have long been best friends, and now we’ve invited raspberries and walnuts to the party for a delicious twist on an old classic.

Be sure to save your leftovers! A dollop of Nutty Orange-Cranberry Sauce is the secret ingredient in the Cranberry-Orange Sunrise Shake, the perfect morning partner in preparation for a shopping marathon or a weekend of tailgating.

Nutty Orange-Cranberry Sauce joins the other recipes in our Virgin Thanksgiving feast: Turkey Cutlets with Marsala and Shiitake Mushrooms, Roasted Acorn Squash Purée, Braised Kale, Wild Rice and Vegetable Pilaf, Green Beans with Shiitakes and Shallots, and Pumpkin Bread Pudding.
