Forget boring old broccoli! The garlic drizzle makes this Paleo side dish sizzle. If you’ve got a picky eater who usually turns down broccoli, try this version!

  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Cook: 15 mins
  • Yields: 4

Ingredients

8 cups broccoli florets

2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

5 clove garlic, thinly sliced

1/8 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tbsp grated lemon zest

1/4 tsp sea salt

Directions

1Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil over high heat.

2Add the broccoli to the pot, and return to a boil, and cook for 6-8 minutes.

3Drain in a colander, then transfer to a large bowl and set aside.

4Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until the garlic just starts to brown around the edges, 2 to 3 minutes.

5Pour the mixture over the broccoli and stir in the lemon zest and salt; toss well. Serve warm or at room temperature.
