Recipe: Blueberry Sorbet

by JJ Virgin on July 27, 2016

Blueberries may be small, but they’re packed full of amazing health benefits!

These tiny, juicy jewels are a great source of omega-3s that are fantastic for your heart, brain, and gut. (Learn more about omega-3s and where to find them in this article: Top 15 Foods for Omega-3s.) Blueberries also contain fiber to help you feel full and burn fat. As if all that wasn’t enough, they’re also an excellent source of antioxidants that help fight aging!

And of course, the natural sweetness and tangy flavor of blueberries make them the perfect choice for healthy recipes like the sorbet below. (Just remember that even a healthy recipe isn’t a hall pass to ignore your sugar impact, so please indulge wisely…)

This is the final dish in our amazing Backyard BBQ Menu. If you missed the previous posts, don’t forget the recipes for succulent BBQ Glazed Chicken, juicy Tex-Mex Burgers with Avocado Salsa, and vibrant Cucumber Radish Salad.
