Recipe: 12 Days of Shakes – Orange Hot Chocolate

Velvety chocolate and zesty orange flavor set this healthy hot cocoa recipe apart. It’s the perfect metabolism-boosting recipe for cold weather!

2 Servings

2 scoops JJ Virgin Chocolate All-In-One Protein Shake powder* (your choice of protein type)
14 oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 tsp raw cacao powder
1 tsp real vanilla extract
grated zest of an organic orange
Whipped coconut cream to serve (optional, recipe below)

Blend the protein powder, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and orange zest in a blender until the ingredients are well-mixed.

Transfer to a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat until steamy, stirring occasionally.
Divide into 2 mugs and top with a dollop of whipped coconut cream. Enjoy!
