Recipe: Chocolate-Covered Marzipan Shake

It’s no secret I’m an almond-lover. I’m also a huge chocolate fan. I bet you can see where this is going…

I really couldn’t resist a protein shake that blends the best of both worlds into a creamy, nutty breakfast that tastes exactly like chocolate-covered marzipan – minus all that sugar, of course!

If you’re a java fan, you’ll appreciate knowing this shake is also delicious made with 5 ounces of vanilla almond milk and 5 ounces of chilled coffee. That’s a good morning!

The delicious, nutty flavors of cocoa and almond come together in this yummy protein shake, the perfect holiday breakfast for marzipan lovers.

Virgin Diet compliant: Cycles 1, 2, and 3
Sugar Impact Diet compliant: Cycles 1, 2, and 3

  • Prep: 5 mins

Ingredients

2 scoops JJ Virgin Chocolate All-In-One Protein Shake powder* (your choice of protein type)

10 oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1/2 small avocado, peeled and pitted

2 tbsp almond butter

1 tbsp cacao nibs

2 tsp raw cacao powder

1/4 tsp almond extract

6-7 ice cubes

Directions

1Blend the ingredients together until smooth.

2Your shake can be thickened by adding ice cubes or thinned by adding cold water.
