Not only is Peppermint Tea a light, refreshing drink, it’s also fantastic for your gut health! In fact, studies have shown that peppermint oil is a natural antibacterial and can help reduce symptoms of SIBO.
Peppermint can also help with seasonal allergies, and the aroma has been proven to assist both short-term memory and stress relief. Instead of opting for caffeine that can keep you awake in the evening hours, try a cup of this tasty tea.
For variation, try adding a ½ teaspoon of freshly grated ginger during the steeping time or use a mix of spearmint and peppermint leaves. You can even add a green teabag during steeping to make Peppermint Green Tea. (Even better for you! This blog explains why…)
