Recipe: Chocolate Berry Chia Pudding

by JJ Virgin on June 24, 2017

Pudding for breakfast… AND be the best fat burner? Yup, if it’s this recipe.

It might feel like the ultimate cheat day to have chocolate pudding for breakfast, but with this protein-packed version, you’re doing your body all kinds of favors!

Superfood chia seeds and berries are full of brain-boosting omega-3 fatty acids, gut-healing fiber, and antioxidants that can stop aging in its tracks. And All-In-One Protein Shake powder makes an appearance, ensuring you get clean, lean protein without any of the 7 hi-FI foods (the foods most likely to cause food intolerances).

You can easily change things up with this super-simple recipe, too. Make a dark chocolate version by adding a tablespoon of raw cacao powder to your pudding, and create some crunch with 2 tablespoons of cacao nibs.

Or go in another creamy direction altogether by using vanilla protein powder. Stir in half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and a dash each of ground nutmeg and cloves, then top your pudding with chopped organic apples for a quick, healthy take on apple pie! (Even better with a sprinkling of chopped pecans…)

No matter what flavors and add-ins you choose, this recipe is easy enough for even the most novice cook. And feel free to double or even triple the recipe so you have plenty on hand.

Stir together a batch of this yummy pudding at bedtime, then stick it in the fridge while you get your beauty rest. A delicious, healthy breakfast will be waiting when you wake up. And this recipe is a hit with kids of all ages – even the pickiest eaters can’t resist chocolate pudding!
