Recipe: Freshly Juiced Jalapeno Bloody Mary

by JJ Virgin on January 14, 2017

The Bloody Mary is a quintessential brunch drink, and this version is made even better with the addition of fresh juice, and plenty of spice and heat. I love to top mine with a pile of garnishes, including olives, cocktail onions, and crunchy strips of bacon to stir!

Tip: If you're not a drinker, you can simply substitute the vodka with a shot of bone broth or veggie stock for an extra savory and nutritious mocktail.

Please note, this one of the ONLY times I recommend juicing! Because tomatoes are medium-sugar impact, drinking just their juice doesn't mean a massive hit to your insulin response. However, you should never drink fruit juice. (More about that in this blog: No More Juice Cleanses: Top 7 Ways to Detox Safely & Naturally)
